Ely Cathedral Flower Festival: 20th to 23rd June 2013
Our ‘flower’ display was placed in the Bishop’s Garden marquee, which hosted the preview evening on the 19th, and was then used as the catering venue throughout the event.
Some 360 people attended the gala preview and over 20,000 people attended the event during the four days.
With the theme ‘In the beginning’, a mass of flowers transformed the interior of the Cathedral into a stunning spectacle depicting the Creation. The main centrepiece was a river containing 3000 gallons of water snaking down the Nave.
This is the first time in 15 years that the Cathedral has held such an event.
