Open Farm Sunday: 9th June 2013
Hainey Farm at Barway will be opening its doors again on Sunday 9th June 2013.
Family fun for everyone including farm tours, machinery displays, children’s entertainments and activities, and much more.
This year our farm tours will be supplemented by displays and videos celebrating all aspects of the produce from all our farms. Our “farmers’ market” will be bigger and better than ever, featuring local foods from Corkers Crisps, La Hogue, the Cambridge Cheese Company , Cobs Bakery and Ely Gin – and, of course, the freshest salads and vegetables from G’s. For further inspiration call in at the Mobile Cookery Theatre where local restaurants, retailers and suppliers will be demonstrating fresh and healthy recipe ideas.
Refreshments available include hog roast, hot dogs and burgers and an ice cream van – or treat yourself to tea and cakes by Tom’s Cakes at our indoor Vintage Tea Party.
Barway is signposted off the A142 Ely to Soham road and there is plenty of onsite parking. Entry and parking are free.
Alternatively arrive by foot or bike. Pick up Cycle Route 11 from the railway bridge at Ely and follow the river to Barway and then to G’s. Cycling will take 30 mins approx; walking 1 hour approx.
Free entry from 10am to 3pm. Sorry – no dogs.
